Rowe Entertainment Bbq

Rowe Entertainment Bbq Barbecue restaurant

Overview

Nestled in the heart of Gardena, California, Rowe Entertainment Bbq at 333 Rosecrans Ave, Gardena, CA 90248, United States, is one of those local gems that you can smell before you see. The inviting aroma of smoked meats rolling out into the parking lot is enough to make any passerby stop and take notice. The moment you step inside, it feels like home-warm lighting, friendly chatter, and that unmistakable scent of slow-cooked barbecue that signals you’re in for something special.

During my first visit, I was drawn to the bustling energy behind the counter. The pitmasters were focused, flipping racks of ribs with the kind of care you can’t fake. You could tell immediately that this wasn’t just a job for them-it was a craft. Watching them prepare each plate with precision and passion reminded me of family cookouts where barbecue wasn’t just food, it was tradition. That same sense of pride fills every dish served here, from the tender brisket to the juicy pulled pork piled high on buttered rolls.

What stood out most was the consistency. I’ve been to countless barbecue joints across the South and West Coast, and it’s rare to find one that balances smoke, spice, and tenderness the way Rowe Entertainment Bbq does. The ribs, coated with a perfectly caramelized glaze, practically fell off the bone. Their sauce-rich, tangy, and slightly sweet-tied everything together without overpowering the natural flavors of the meat. A local food blogger I chatted with mentioned that their secret lies in a low-and-slow smoking process using oak wood, which enhances depth and aroma. This method, endorsed by experts from the Kansas City Barbecue Society, ensures that each bite carries that authentic, smoked-to-perfection flavor profile.

The menu covers everything you’d expect from a top-tier barbecue spot and more. Beyond the staples like ribs and brisket, they offer smoked turkey, hot links, and hearty sides like mac and cheese, collard greens, and baked beans loaded with chunks of smoked meat. One of my favorite combinations was the brisket sandwich with a side of creamy potato salad-it’s comfort food elevated by years of experience and fine-tuned recipes. They also feature rotating specials depending on the day, so it’s worth checking their updated board or calling ahead to see what’s smoking.

A quick scan of customer reviews online reveals a pattern of praise: generous portions, attentive service, and that “real barbecue taste” people drive across town for. One Yelp reviewer described it best-this is the kind of place that makes you forget about the chain restaurants forever. And they’re right. There’s an authenticity here that you can’t mass-produce. Even local delivery apps show consistent five-star ratings, which says a lot about how well their food travels-no small feat for barbecue.

From a culinary standpoint, Rowe Entertainment Bbq blends Southern tradition with West Coast flair. Their approach respects the roots of American barbecue while adding a personal twist that makes it uniquely Californian. The team’s experience shows not only in how they prepare the meats but also in how they engage with customers. When I asked one of the servers about their most popular item, she immediately smiled and said, “The ribs, hands down-but don’t sleep on the smoked turkey.” It’s that enthusiasm and knowledge that make the dining experience so enjoyable.

Trust plays a big role when it comes to food, especially barbecue, where preparation time can span over 12 hours. You want to know that what’s on your plate has been handled with care, and at this location, you can see the dedication firsthand. Every piece of meat is seasoned, smoked, and sliced right before serving. They even allow you to peek into the kitchen area where the smokers sit, a transparent gesture that reinforces their commitment to quality.

If you’re in or around Gardena, this spot deserves a visit-not just for the food, but for the experience. Whether you’re a local regular or someone just passing through, it captures the soul of true barbecue culture: patience, flavor, and community. It’s the kind of place that reminds you why slow food is worth the wait, and why great barbecue is more than just a meal-it’s an art form.

Great BBQ food. Chicken, sausage, ribs, sides are good too. Bbq bean I like them. Potato was perfect. Mac cheese I'm not big on it but it was good too. Bbq sauce was a bit on the sour side for me. I like a sweeter taste. Over all my order was worth the price. For sure to come again.

Really good BBQ! We tried the chicken and rib tips. The chicken was tasty and the rib tips were fresh, although I thought the seasoning on the rib tips needed some work. We couldn't try the ribs because they were sold out! I bet those were yummy though. Sides: Mac 'n' Cheese: Delicious, like grandma. It's something about the pepper flecks, the creaminess, and the fact that you can cut it like cake that makes it feel like home iykyk. Greens: Fresh and flavorful. They have a kick, but the taste is there and it's everything. Hands down the best greens I've had outside of my own kitchen. Beans: They're canned, but you know em and you love em. They were also sold out of peach cobbler so we couldn't taste that either, but I knowwwwww that it was bomb. Excited for next time!

Best BBQ hands down! I have been getting my Que for over 3 years now. So much they know me by name and my order. I'm a no sauce person and a lot of places can't deliver that "wow" effect when it comes to seasoning. But Rowes seasonings is to perfection. All the sides are fire, my favorite is the potato salad. Plates are well portioned, for a great price. And we ain't gonna talk about the Peach Cobbler. Gotta get there early tho, because by 3 or 4 some food can be sold, that's just how good it is. No cap, I have business I do bi weekly in the area and I never leave without going thru and grabbing a plate. Keep bringing that Que Rowe I'm a customer for life!!!

We tried to stop and get some good ole bbq but they had run out of meat. We had a chance to talk to the owner who happened to be from St. Louis and was so friendly. They gave a sample of their Mac n cheese, greens and their famous peach cobbler. We will 100% be back to try some yummy bbq.
